Bickerstaffe Christmas Fair

 

Bickerstaffe Christmas Fair took place today , Saturday 25th November at Four Lane Ends Mission Bickerstaffe . The Fair was opened by Edward McCarthy.

Theafternoon included food and drink, raffles, cake stalls, the pound stall, games, other stalls and the chance to meet Father Christmas himself who had time to pop by. The Brownies and Guides had a stall and local business Starbucks from Bickerstaffe.

The funds raised are for Holy Trinity Church.

The grand total raised was £812.

A big thank you to everyone who helped and everyone who attended.

The raffle prizes were donated by local residents and Booths, The Rainford Deli, Quattros, G and E Hallsworth, Rainford Salon , Starbucks, Haye’s Opticians and the Derby Arms.

 

 

 

 

Funding News

 

Some good news. We are to receive £570 to go towards the plastering work in church (nave/chancel). The total amount is £1140. The funds are from the National Churches Trust. More details and photos to come soon….

Other funding news £200 from the Local Member Grant Scheme of LCC from County Cllr Julie Gibson (Skelmersdale West/Labour) towards the Four Lane Ends Mission Car Park Part 2 Project. Many thanks.

Remembrance Sunday Service 2017

Today (12th November) the Remembrance Service took place led by Rev Martin Adams. The service included representatives of local organisations including Bickerstaffe Parish Council, Bickerstaffe C of E School, WI, Mother’s Union, Bickerstaffe Football Club, Bickerstaffe Guides and Brownies.

Thank you for your attendance and to everyone who helped.

Remembrance Service 10th November

We had a Remembrance Service today with Bickerstaffe C of E School. It was a lovely , moving service which was well attended. Thank you to everyone who came and everyone who helped.
