Our new Churchyard Extension was consecrated today (Monday 9th January).
The Churchyard extension was consecrated in a special outdoor service on Monday 9th January at 2pm by the Right Reverend Bishop Paul Bayes of Liverpool.
The service was attended by fellow parishioners and children from Bickerstaffe School.

On Saturday 18th December Holy Trinity Church Bickerstaffe had a lovely Christmas Meal funded by the Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrate Big Lottery Fund Grant.
We had a Christmas Meal, raffle, games, jokes and dancing.
It was a lovely Christmas meal provided by a local catering firm from Rainford.
The evening ended with the National Anthem.
Today the Bickerstaffe Carol Singers raised £50 singing at Booths in Burscough for Rainbow House.
Thank-you to all the singers , Booths and everyone who made a donation.

The Holy Trinity Church Bickerstaffe Christmas Fair and Christmas Tree Festival took place on Saturday 26th November. A big thank-you to everyone who attended, everyone who helped, everyone who decorated a tree and everyone who donated a raffle prize. All trees will be up throughout December. Come to a service to look at them.

Traditional Christmas Fayre with Christmas Tree Festival on 26th November.
Bickerstaffe Holy Trinity Church is having a Christmas Fayre with a difference. This year it includes a Christmas Tree Festival. Local organisations are being asked if they would like to supply a tree.
Reverend Andrew Housley explains: “This year our Christmas Fayre will be bigger and better than ever, if local organisations want to have a tree as part of our Christmas Tree Festival please get in touch. Event includes seasonal refreshments, tombola, cake stall, Santa’s grotto, Grand raffle and much more raising money for Church funds, one recent major project is our nearly complete graveyard extension.

The PCC of Holy Trinity Church have been awarded £640 for The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration Lunches Project . These will take between now and 14th October 2017.

Holy Trinity Church PCC has been awarded £750 towards the cost of the Graveyard Extension from the Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund.
The Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund is a Registered Charity set up with the consent of Her Majesty The Queen to benefit causes primarily within the County Palatine. We wish to thank the Lieutenant of Lancashire, Lord Shuttleworth for our funding award.
