Notices including Christmas Meal

  • December 17th Christmas Celebration meal funded by the National Lottery . (FREE Christmas meal 6-30pm for 7pm at the Mission  list at the back) this money was given to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday.

Bickerstaffe Christmas Tree Extravaganza.

Traditional Christmas Fayre with Christmas Tree Festival on 26th November.

Bickerstaffe Holy Trinity Church is having a Christmas Fayre with a difference. This year it includes a Christmas Tree Festival. Local organisations are being asked if they would like to supply a tree.

Reverend Andrew Housley explains: “This year our  Christmas Fayre will be bigger and better than ever, if local organisations want to have a tree as part of our Christmas Tree Festival please get in touch. Call 01695 423204.The Christmas Fayre is on Saturday 26th November 2pm-4pm, at Holy Trinity Church Bickerstaffe look forward to seeing you there !”

Event includes seasonal refreshments, tombola, cake stall, Santa’s grotto, Grand raffle and much more raising money for Church funds, one recent major project is our nearly complete graveyard extension.

Funding Award

Holy Trinity Church PCC has been awarded £750 towards the cost of the Graveyard Extension from the Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund.

The Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund is a Registered Charity set up with the consent of Her Majesty The Queen to benefit causes primarily within the County Palatine. We wish to thank the Lieutenant of Lancashire, Lord Shuttleworth for our funding award.





Bickerstaffe Harvest Celebration and Hot-pot lunch

Holy Trinity Bickerstaffe had their Harvest Celebration followed by a Hot-pot Harvest lunch on Sunday 9th October. The service was led by Reverend Andrew Housley.The Hot-pot was provided by the Tartan Tearooms in Rainford. Thank-you to everyone who helped with the lunch.

This year’s Harvest Project is through the Compassion UK, a couple of years ago both the church and school raised money to support a child living in Bangladesh. More details can be found here – .

Bickerstaffe C of E School’s Harvest Festival took place on Monday 10th October. Following these services produce will be delivered to residents in the local community.
