Our new Churchyard Extension was consecrated today (Monday 9th January).
The Churchyard extension was consecrated in a special outdoor service on Monday 9th January at 2pm by the Right Reverend Bishop Paul Bayes of Liverpool.
The service was attended by fellow parishioners and children from Bickerstaffe School.

On Saturday 18th December Holy Trinity Church Bickerstaffe had a lovely Christmas Meal funded by the Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrate Big Lottery Fund Grant.
We had a Christmas Meal, raffle, games, jokes and dancing.
It was a lovely Christmas meal provided by a local catering firm from Rainford.
The evening ended with the National Anthem.
The Holy Trinity Church Bickerstaffe Christmas Fair and Christmas Tree Festival took place on Saturday 26th November. A big thank-you to everyone who attended, everyone who helped, everyone who decorated a tree and everyone who donated a raffle prize. All trees will be up throughout December. Come to a service to look at them.
Our walking day, an age old tradition, took place on Sunday 10th July. We walked from Heyescroft to church.
During the service all the children received a commemorative mug and each family a book about the Queen.
Following the service our Royal Tea Party took place. Everyone had a nice time and enjoyed the great food.
Many happy returns to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II from Holy Trinity Bickerstaffe.
Coming up – Royal Photo Exhibition – the church is open Monday 11th July 6pm-8pm, Tuesday 12th July 6pm-8pm and Wednesday 13th July 2pm-4pm.
Bickerstaffe Summer Fair with Royal Celebration
Holy Trinity Bickerstaffe Summer Fair and Royal Exhibition took place on Saturday 9th July 2pm – 4pm. We raised £1020 for church funds.
During the event there was the usual stalls, cream teas and also an exhibition celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday. There was a commemorative piece of music by Rev Martin Adams relating to Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday.
The event was opened by this year’s Rose Queen Isabella Blain.
Later in the afternoon there was dancing provided by Divine Dance and some lovely organ music played by Kim Wellens.
On behalf of the church we would like to thank everyone who attended and also everyone who helped with event.
Coming up on Sunday 10th July our Walking Day and Royal Tea Party starting at 1015am Heyescroft and service followed by food starting at 1045am at Church.
